On the Subject of Type – Foundries!
Second, I found a great directory for Font manufacturers (on Microsoft's website suprisingly).
In a nod to the little guys... Microsoft has posted a very comprehensive list of type foundries (some of the links are dead, however). You should really head over and browse (its productive... and a good waste of time).
